Inspection, condition assessment and sampling

We have extensive experience in inspections and condition assessments of various concrete structures. We investigate, among other things, damage caused by reinforcement corrosion, frost, fire, moisture and alkali silica reactions (ASR). We also take out drill cores, for strength testing, for thin grinding and perform control of chloride content and carbonation depth.

Non-destructive testing

There are a large number of different non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. We are specialists in the field of concrete and can identify damage inside a structure, voids in casings, reinforcement placement and reinforcement corrosion. This is done without damaging the structure. In addition, we can carry out drone inspections where our AI-generated algorithm maps defects in concrete structures that can be difficult to access, such as chimneys and silos.

Solutions for repair and reinforcement

We specialize in the repair and upgrading of concrete structures. Our methods and proposals follow the accepted standard: “SS- EN-1504 - 9 - Concrete structures - Products and systems for protection and repair”. We produce complete proposals for action with complete drawings and suitable materials.

Condition assessment by measurement

Condition assessment by measurement SHM (Structural Health Monitoring) sometimes CSHM (Civil Structural Health Monitoring) is an effective tool to improve the understanding of existing structures and thus the decision-making basis in connection with inspections and the development of action proposals. We can also assist with test loads of structures for verification.

Calculation and modeling

To ensure the load-bearing capacity and stability of existing or planned parts of a building structure, structural calculations are required. We carry out advanced structural calculations for future planned structures but above all for mapping existing ones. We often do this in combination with condition assessments, non-destructive testing, real material samples and measurements. In order to obtain as real a picture as possible of the structure we are investigating.

We ourselves are further developing condition assessment using machine learning, e.g. detection and automatic evaluation of cracks in concrete with drones.
