For \u00e5 forst\u00e5 omfanget og \u00e5rsaken utf\u00f8rte Invator en avansert tilstandsvurdering ved hjelp av ultralyd, georadar og tr\u00e5dl\u00f8s langtidsm\u00e5ling. Invator utf\u00f8rte en detaljert tilstandsvurdering ved hjelp av LIDAR, georadar, ultralyd og numerisk analyse, som viste at deler av armeringen var utarmet og at konstruksjonen ikke oppfylte sikkerhetskravene.
