Remote inspection and damage inventory in concrete silos
When tall concrete silo structures needed to be inspected without risky climbing or downtime, Invator took technology to new heights. Using drones and photogrammetry, millimeter-accurate 3D models of four silos were created - a method that revealed hidden cracks, enabled precise damage mapping, and showed how remote inspection can become the future standard for safe and efficient building analysis.

Carbon fiber reinforcement of chimney – Käppala, Lidingö
The chimney at Käppala wastewater treatment plant showed cracking and reduced stiffness, with a risk of overturning. Invator investigated reinforcement with carbon fiber composite as a long-term solution and presented techniques, references and workflow to increase the load-bearing capacity and service life of the structure.

Precise location of rebar in the Forsmark nuclear power plant
At the Forsmark plant, Invator developed a method to precisely locate reinforcement before drilling expander bolts into existing concrete - even through the cover plate. The combination of geo-radar and ultrasound provided high precision and enabled drilling within tight tolerances without hitting any reinforcement.

Condition assessment and evaluation of masonry chimney in Norrköping
When the over 100-year-old chimney at Norrköping's cotton mill showed signs of serious damage, Invator was called in. Using drone-based 3D modeling, ultrasound and FEM analysis, the team mapped the cracks and corrosion and developed a plan to preserve and secure the structure for the future.

Non-destructive testing of machine foundations with visible cracks
When vibrations and cracks began to threaten operations at LKAB's Kiruna processing plant, Invator was called in to act quickly. Through advanced vibration analysis and non-destructive testing, the team was able to confirm that the foundation was stable in the short term - but also reveal hidden design flaws that would otherwise have risked major production stoppages.

The chimney in Köping had two thirty-meter cracks
YARA's 90-meter-high concrete chimney in Köping had two continuous vertical cracks that raised concerns about the long-term durability of the structure. A comprehensive condition assessment was carried out to analyze the causes and develop proposals for repair and strengthening measures.

Repair of cracks in chimney
Vertical cracks from the top of YARA's chimney raised concerns about its condition and load-bearing capacity. This required a comprehensive inspection and analysis to assess the severity of the cracks, identify the causes, and propose measures for the safety and long-term sustainability of the structure.
